Profile
Dr Moore is a Civil Engineer specializing in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Non-linear soil-structure interaction, and analysis and design of buried infrastructure, polymer structures, and shell structures. Recent research interests include development of design methods for joints in polymer, metal and concrete culverts, identification of limit states for thermoplastic pipes, soil-pipe interaction and ground movements during pipe bursting, hydrofracture pressures, pulling forces and and axial response of pipes installed using horizontal directional drilling, strength of deteriorated steel and reinforced concrete culverts, performance and design of liners used to repair sewers, water pipes and culverts, non-linear time-dependent models for thermoplastics (pipes and geosynthetics), and behaviour of buried oil and gas pipelines under ground movements.
